What Is a Power Brick?

A power brick is an external device that changes the electricity from your home (AC power) into the type of electricity that a D2 grill uses (DC power). It's used for devices that need power but don't have the internal components to create the right kind of electricity (voltage and power).

Power bricks are also known by various names, including AC adapter, plug pack, plug-in adapter, adapter block, power adapter, AC/DC adapter, and AC/DC converter.

Power Brick SKUs & Grill Compatibility

Power bricks are a part only on D2 grills. On AC grills the power cord is hardwired to the grill; on new Timberlines & Ironwoods, the power cord connects to a power strip/panel.

Where is the Power Brick Located?

The power brick is located on the underside of the grill's hopper. To view the power brick, remove the side or bottom panel (depending on the model).

Power Brick LED Light Behavior

The power brick LED light is green in color. Look up from the ground into the underside of the hopper and look for a small green light near the top of the power brick.

If the grill is plugged in and powered on and Power Brick's light is off or flickering, contact Customer Support.
