What to do if the auger in a Woodridge Series grill spins nonstop when powered on and only stops when the grill is turned off.
Symptoms
The auger begins spinning immediately after the grill is powered on and won't stop spinning unless the grill is powered off.
Tools Needed
- Phillips Screwdriver
What to Do
- Turn off and unplug the grill.
- Remove the controller:
- Open the hopper lid and remove the x2 screws from the controller trim, keeping the controller installed in the trim.
- Remove x2 screws from the lower portion of the controller trim at the front of the grill.
-
Carefully lift up the controller and trim belt, then disconnect the Hopper Wiring harness from the back of the controller.
- Open the hopper lid and remove the x2 screws from the controller trim, keeping the controller installed in the trim.
- Power on the grill.
- The controller display will not turn on due to the cable being disconnected. We are checking to see if the auger continues to spin when the cable is disconnected and the grill is powered on.
- If the auger:
- Continues to spin - Replace the Auger Box
- Does not spin - Replace the Controller
