How to Use
Setup
- Remove the battery cover and locate the Celsius/Fahrenheit switch inside the battery compartment.
- Select C for Celsius or F for Fahrenheit.
- Insert two AAA batteries.
- Replace the battery cover, tightening the screw to ensure proper functionality.
Measuring Food Temperature
- Fully extend the probe to turn on the thermometer.
- Insert the probe into the thickest part of the food avoiding bones, fat, or gristle.
- For liquids, immerse the probe in the center.
- Hold the probe in place until the temperature stabilizes, takes 2-3 seconds.
Important Info
- Wipe the probe clean between readings, especially if gauging temperatures between different types of proteins.
- DO NOT leave the thermometer in the food while cooking.
- The screen may be difficult to see in direct sunlight. Turn the thermometer away from direct sunlight while viewing the screen to make it easier to read.
Error Codes
| Error Code | Cause | Resolution |
| LLL | Below minimum operating temperature (-10°C/14°F) | Avoid using the thermometer in extremely cold temperatures |
| HHH | Above max operating temperature (250°C/482°F) | Avoid using the thermometer in high-temperature environments |
| EEE | Error occurred on sensor | Remove batteries and replace them. Restart unit. If issue persists, contact us |
Cleaning and Storage
- Rinse the stainless-steel probe under warm water after each use.
- Store the probe in a closed position to preserve battery life.
- If the probe is left on, it will automatically power off after 10 minutes.
- DO NOT fully submerge the thermometer in water.
- Designed to hang from Traeger grill built in hooks or the P.A.L. hooks.
Caring for the Instant Read Thermometer
- Use caution as the stainless-steel probe may be hot after use.
- Do not expose the thermometer to extremely hot or cold surfaces for more than 10 seconds. Doing so may impact the appearance and or performance of the thermometer.
- Change the batteries regularly. Do not store batteries in the thermometer for more than 3 months at a time.
