Replacing an auger (or auger motor) may sound daunting, but it's not difficult. The videos and instructions below are specific to WiFIRE-enabled (D2) grills.

Replacing an Auger/Auger Motor on a Pro 575 & 780
- Power off and unplug your grill.
- Empty pellets from the hopper.
- Unscrew the two screws on the right side of the hopper and remove the access panel from the bottom of the hopper.
- Cut the zip ties from both sets of cables.
- Remove the four screws holding the controller in place.
- Disconnect the plastic connectors from the controller.
- Unscrew the four screws that secure the hopper housing to the grill. There are two on the front of the hopper and two on the back.
- Remove the hopper housing from the auger assembly and set it aside.
- Remove the plastic connector from the auger motor.
- Remove the four Phillips screws securing the auger motor to the auger assembly, and remove the motor.
- Remove the bushing screw that secures the auger to the auger tube.
- Remove the auger from the auger tube and clear out any debris or sawdust.
- Insert the new auger and follow these steps in reverse to reassemble your grill.
Replacing an Auger/Auger Motor on a D2 Ironwood & Timberline
- Power off and unplug your grill.
- Empty pellets from the hopper.
- Remove the access panel from the bottom of the hopper by removing the four Phillips screws.
- Unplug the plastic connector from the auger motor.
- Remove the auger motor by unscrewing the four Philips-head screws holding it in place.
- Remove the set screw located on the underside of the auger tube.
- Slide the auger out of the shaft and clean out any remaining debris.
- Insert the new auger and follow the previous steps in reverse to reassemble.
