Lid Handle Extender Installation Instructions

How to install or replace a lid handle extender, applicable with select grill models.

What Is a Lid Handle Extender?

Lid handle extenders are exactly what they sound like: a part that extends the lid handle. This part exists and is compatible with select models and serves the purpose of providing a heat buffer on models that may experience hot lid handles.

Installing a Lid Handle Extender

Tools Needed:

• Phillips screwdriver

Replacement/Installation Instructions:

1. Remove the screws and washers from the lid handle.
   • Handle already installed on lid: Open the grill's lid. Unscrew the two Phillips screws holding the lid handle in place, being careful not to lose the washers
   • Handle NOT already installed on lid: Unscrew the Phillips screw that is pre-installed in the handle.
2. The handle extender sits between the lid and the handle. Align the handle and extenders with the lid's screw holes.
3. Slide a washer on each screw and screw in the screw into the handle extender and handle.
