The instructions outlined in this article apply to the following replacement SKU on Traeger's Woodridge grill:

How to Replace an X-Brace
- Turn off and unplug grill from power.
- Open the grill lid and remove the grates, drip tray, grease chute, grease & ash keg cover, and heat baffle.
- Remove the grease bucket and set aside.
- Place pellet bucket below pellet dump door.
- Open pellet dump door and empty all pellets from hopper.
- At the back of the grill, unscrew two screws to remove the back hooks.
- To protect the grill from scratches, place a sheet of cardboard or a blanket on the ground behind the grill.
- With the help of a second person, carefully lay the grill onto its back on the cardboard sheet or blanket.
- Using a long screwdriver, unscrew two screws with washers from the hooves at the left end of the grill (1x each hoof). Remove the hooves from the legs and set aside.
- At the hopper end of the grill, unscrew two screws with washers from the axle feet (1x each foot). You can leave the wheels and axle assembled through the feet. Remove the feet, axle, and wheels and set aside.
- Remove the X-brace from the legs of the grill.
- Assemble the new X-brace.
- Position the new X-brace assembly on the legs. Make sure the tabs on the X-brace are placed into the slots on the legs.
- Position the axle feet on the legs at the hopper end of the grill. Starting with the foot nearest to the ground, attach the feet to the legs using two screws with washers (1x each foot).
- Position the hooves on the legs at the other end of the grill, starting with the hoof nearest to the ground, attach the hooves to the legs using two screws with washers (1x each foot).
- With the help of a second person, lift the grill back to the upright position.
- Reattach the back hooks using two screws.
- Reinstall the grease bucket below the grill.
- Reinsert all internal grill components.
- Prime the auger before next use.
