What is a firepot?
Your grill's firepot is exactly what it sounds like: it's the vessel that contains the fire that heats your grill. The auger feeds pellets from the hopper into the firepot, where the hot rod then ignites the pellets, and the firepot keeps the fire safely contained.

How to Replace a Firepot
- Turn off the grill and unplug it from the power source.
- Empty the hopper.
- Unscrew four screws that attach the auger box to the grill.
- Recruit another person to take off the auger box together. Make sure to disconnect the controller from the box.
- Once the auger box is off, unscrew 10 screws that hold the auger box cover.
- Remove the ignitor by removing the x1 screw (10-32 X 1/4") from the ignitor tube and slide the ignitor and the wire harness out of the tube.
- Once ignitor is removed, remove the four screws on each corner of the firepot to remove it.
- Once the screws are removed, slide the firepot back toward the edge of the auger box to clear the auger chute and then lift it out.
- The tilt is necessary to create space for the ignitor tube (yellow circle) when removing.

- Reattach the ignitor with the x1 screw.
- Reverse steps to reassemble the grill.
