Replacing Legs on a Woodridge Grill
Applicable SKU: KIT0945
Replacement Instructions
- Turn off and unplug the grill.
- Empty the hopper by placing a container underneath the pellet door on the back of the hopper. Open the pellet door by twisting the door's thumb screw and allow the pellets to fall into the bucket until emptied.
- Open the grill lid and remove the grates, drip tray, grease chute, grease & ash keg cover, and heat baffle.
- Additional person recommended: Flip the grill onto its back.
- Place cardboard or a blanket down to prevent scratches on the grill
- Remove the leg hoof OR wheel axle hoof on the leg you're replacing by unscrewing the screw with the washer.
- Remove the leg you are replacing by unscrewing four screws.
- Mount the new leg to the grill by fastening four screws.
- Ensure the X-Brace flange is aligned with the slot on the end of the leg, then fasten the leg hoof OR wheel axle hoof onto the leg.
- With the help of another person, flip the grill back to standing.
- Replace heat baffle, grease & ash keg cover, grease chute, drip tray, and grates back in the grill.
Replacing a Leg Hoof on a Woodridge Grill

Replacement Instructions
- Turn off and unplug the grill from power.
- Empty the hopper by placing a container underneath the pellet door on the back of the hopper. Open the pellet door by twisting the door's thumb screw and allow the pellets to fall into the bucket until emptied.
- Open the grill lid and remove the grates, drip tray, grease chute, grease & ash keg cover, and heat baffle.
- Additional person recommended: Flip the grill onto its back.
- Place cardboard or a blanket down to prevent scratches on the grill
- Remove the leg hoof by unscrewing the screw with washer.
- Ensure the X-Brace flange is aligned with the slot on the end of the leg and fasten the new leg hoof onto the leg using the screw with the washer.
- Repeat steps 5 & 6 if needed for the remaining hoof.
- With the help of another person, flip the grill back to standing.
- Replace heat baffle, grease & ash keg cover, grease chute, drip tray, and all grates back in the grill.
Replacing Legs on a Woodridge Pro Grill
- Turn off and unplug the grill from power. Disconnect the power cord from the auger box.
- Open the grill lid. Remove the grates, drip tray, heat baffle, ash cap, and grease chute from inside the grill and set them to the side.
- Remove the grease bucket.
- Empty the pellets from the hopper.
- Additional person recommended: Flip the grill onto its back.
- Place cardboard or a blanket down to prevent scratches on the grill.

At the hopper end of the grill, remove 1x circle cotter pin from each end of the wheel axle (2 total).

Remove the wheels from the axle.

Remove the axle.

At the other end, remove one screw with lock washer from each plastic foot (2 total).
- Do not remove the casters from the feet.

Slide the feet with casters slightly in towards the center of the grill to release the tab holding them inside the legs. Lift up to remove feet and casters.

Carefully lift the entire bottom shelf assembly off of the legs and set it on a work surface.
- Remove the leg you are replacing by unscrewing four screws.
- Mount the new leg to the grill by fastening four screws.

Lift the bottom shelf assembly and place it on the legs of the grill. Make sure the tabs at each corner of the bottom shelf assembly are placed into the slots in each leg.

At the hopper end of the grill, place the axle feet onto the legs and attach with 1x 1/4-20 X 3/4" screw with lock washer each side (2x total).

Slide the axle through both feet, then slide the wheels onto the axle.

Install 1x circle cotter pin to each end of the axle (2x total).

At the other end of the grill, place the feet with casters onto the legs. Slide them slightly away from the center of the grill to align the holes, and make sure that the feet are sitting flush on the legs. Attach with 1x 1/4-20 X 3/4" screw with lock washer each side (2x total).

With the help of a second person, carefully flip the grill right side up.
- Replace heat baffle, grease & ash keg cover, grease chute, drip tray, and all grates back in the grill.
Replacing Legs on a Woodridge Elite Grill
- Turn off and unplug the grill from power. Disconnect the power cord from the auger box.
- Open the grill lid. Remove the grates, drip tray, heat baffle, ash cap, and grease chute from inside the grill and set them to the side.
- Remove the grease bucket.
- Empty the pellets from the hopper.
- Remove the Lid & Backsplash
- Open the grill lid. From the inside of the grill, remove the cotter pin from both the right and left hinges (1 pin each side) by pulling on the looped end.
- Person 1: Hold the grill lid in place
- Person 2: Push the two clevis pins out of the grill lid/backsplash and remove the two 3/8" washers (1 on each side).
- With the help of another person, carefully lift the lid off of the grill and set aside.
- Remove the x2 screws from the center backsplash at the rear of the grill and remove the back hooks.
- Remove the x2 screws from both the left and right backsplash on the inside (x4 screws total).
- Lift the 3 backsplash panels off of the grill.
- Open the grill lid. From the inside of the grill, remove the cotter pin from both the right and left hinges (1 pin each side) by pulling on the looped end.
- Remove 4x 1/4-20 X 1/2" screws from the hopper lid hinge. Remove the hopper lid and set aside.
- Inside the hopper, remove the hopper pellet guard (ETL grate) by unscrewing x2 1/4-20 X 1/2" screws. Set aside.
- Remove x1 1/4-20 X 1/2" screw from the trim band on the upper back side of the grill between the hopper and grill body. Slide the trim band out from the back side of the grill to remove.
- Remove the cabinet doors by pushing the bottom edge of the top pin down to retract the spring pin, followed by the bottom door pin.
Top Pin Bottom Pin - Below the controller, remove x4 1/4-20 X 1/2" screws from the front right trim panel. Set the panel aside.
- Open the hopper lid and remove the x2 screws from the controller trim, keeping the controller installed in the trim.
- Remove the x2 screws from the lower portion of the controller trim at the front of the grill.
- Carefully lift the controller and trim belt up, then disconnect the RTD, hopper, and pellet sensor wiring harnesses from the back of the controller. Place the controller and trim belt aside on a work surface.
- Unclip the power cord from all routing clips, then retract the side burner end of the cord through the rear wall into the cabinet.
- Unscrew x6 1/4-20 X 1/2" screws from the rear top trim, then remove it and set aside.
- Unscrew x6 1/4-20 X 1/2" screws from the rear wall panels, making sure to hold them so that they don't fall. Remove the rear wall panels and set them aside.
- Completely remove the power cord from the grill.
- Remove the side burner cover and set aside.
- Underneath the shelf assembly, remove the x4 screws (1/4-20 X 1/2") and then lift the side burner out of the side shelf.
- At the front of the grill, remove x6 1/4-20 X 1/2" screws to detach the grill body front trim with P.A.L rail. x4 screws are located in the grill body, 2x screws are located on the outside below the trim. Set it aside.
- At the right side of the grill, remove x4 1/4-20 X 1/2" screws to detach the hopper side trim with P.A.L. rail. x2 screws are located in the hopper, x2 screws are located on the outside of the hopper below the trim. Set it aside.
- Remove x4 1/4-20 X 1/2" screws from the utility rack. Set it aside.
- Additional person recommended: Flip the grill upside down.
- Place cardboard or a blanket down to prevent scratches on the grill.
- Unscrew x4 1/4-20 X 3/4" screws with washers from x4 casters (16 total). Set the casters aside.
- Unscrew x2 1/4-20 X 1/2" screws where the middle wall of the base meets the hopper connector plates.
- Unscrew x2 1/4-20 X 1/2" screws from each corner of the base (8 total).
- Carefully lift the base and right cabinet wall up and off of the legs. Set it aside.
- Unscrew x4 1/4-20 X 3/4" screws with washers to remove the desired leg.
- Replace with new leg using the x4 screws and washers.
- Reverse the steps to reassemble the grill.
