How to Replace a 7" All-Terrain Wheel

SKU: KIT0986 & KIT1009 

Tools Needed:

  • Phillips head screwdriver
  • Two people are recommended to replace this part

Replacement Instructions:

  1. Turn off and unplug grill from power.
  2. Open the lid and remove the grates, drip tray, grease chute, grease & ash keg cover, and heat baffle and set them aside.
  3. Remove the grease bucket and set aside.
  4. Empty the hopper by placing a container underneath the pellet door on the back of the hopper. Open the pellet door by twisting the door's thumb screw and allow the pellets to fall into the bucket until emptied.

  5. At the back of the grill, unscrew two screws to remove the back hooks.
  6. To protect the grill from scratches, place a sheet of cardboard or a blanket on the ground behind the grill.
  7. With the help of a second person, carefully lay the grill onto its back on the cardboard sheet or blanket.
  8. At the hopper end of the grill, unscrew two screws with washers from the axle feet (1x each foot). You can leave the wheels and axle assembled through the feet. Remove the feet, axle, and wheels and set aside.
  9. Pre-assemble the new axle through the new feet, making sure the arrows on the feet are facing each other.
  10. Place the new wheels on the axle outside of the feet and secure with 2x circle cotter pins (1x per side).

  11. Position the pre-assembled axle feet on the legs at the hopper end of the grill. Make sure the tabs on the X-brace or bottom shelf are placed into the slots on the legs. Starting with the foot nearest to the ground, attach the feet to the legs using two screws with washers (1x each foot).
  12. With the help of a second person, lift the grill back to the upright position.
  13. Reattach the back hooks using two screws.
  14. Reinstall the grease bucket below the grill.
  15. Reinsert all internal grill components.

How to Replace a Caster Wheel on a Woodridge Pro

SKU: KIT0986

Tools Needed:

  • Two people are recommended to replace this part

Replacement Instructions:

  1. Turn off and unplug grill from power.
  2. Open the lid and remove the grates, drip tray, grease chute, grease & ash keg cover, and heat baffle and set them aside.
  3. Remove the grease bucket and set aside.
  4. Empty the hopper by placing a container underneath the pellet door on the back of the hopper. Open the pellet door by twisting the door's thumb screw and allow the pellets to fall into the bucket until emptied.

  7. Remove leg hoof OR wheel axle hoof on the leg you're replacing by unscrewing the screw with the washer.
  8. Remove leg by unscrewing four screws.
  9. Mount new leg to grill.
  10. Ensure X-Brace flange is lined up with the slot on the end of the leg, then fasten leg hoof OR wheel axle hoof onto the leg you're replacing using one screw with washer.
  11. With the help of a second person, lift the grill back to the upright position.
  12. Place internal contents back into the grill.

How to Replace a Caster Wheel on a Woodridge Elite

Tools Needed:

  • Two people are recommended to replace this part

Replacement Instructions:

  1. Turn off and unplug grill from power.
  2. Open the lid and remove the grates, drip tray, grease chute, grease & ash keg cover, and heat baffle and set them aside.
  3. Remove the grease bucket and set aside.
  4. Empty the hopper by placing a container underneath the pellet door on the back of the hopper. Open the pellet door by twisting the door's thumb screw and allow the pellets to fall into the bucket until emptied.

  7. Remove the 4 screws from each caster wheel.
  8. Remove the old wheel.
  9. Put new wheel in place and replace the 4 screws.
  10. With the help of a second person, lift the grill back to the upright position.
  11. Place internal contents back into the grill.
