What is an RTD?
Your grill's RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) is your grill's built-in thermometer. The RTD communicates its readings to the grill's controller, which then runs the delivered value through an algorithm specific to the grill model, taking into consideration factors such as the grill's size and shape, and displays the grill's current temperature on the controller.
