How to replace the induction fan on a Westwood and Westwood XL grill.

Induction Fan Replacement Steps
Estimated Time to Complete
- Replacing the induction fan will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
Removing the Old Induction Fan
- Power off and unplug the grill.
- Remove the x6 screws from the hopper service panel on the side of the hopper in the following order:
- Remove x2 screws on the back of the panel by the vents first.
- Remove x2 screws on the bottom of the panel second.
- Remove x2 screws on the side of the panel last.
- Hold the panel with one hand to prevent it from falling when the last screws are removed.
- Hold the panel with one hand to prevent it from falling when the last screws are removed.
- Remove x2 screws on the back of the panel by the vents first.
- Cut the zip tie holding the wires together.
- Disconnect the induction fan wires from the back of the controller (2 purple wires).
- Unscrew the x4 screws on the induction fan. There is one on each corner.
- Pull the fan off.
Installing the New Induction Fan
- Put the new induction fan in place.
- Replace the x4 screws on the fan.
- Plug the induction fan wires into the back of the controller.
- Replace the zip tie to hold all the wires together.
- Replace the hopper service panel using the x6 screws.
