Pro Tip: Tape the off-white wires' Molex connector of the new ignitor to the old ignitor to help guide the new ignitor wiring through the grill as you remove the old ignitor. Remove the tape once the old ignitor is removed.

Installing the New Ignitor

  1. From inside the hopper cavity, pull the old ignitor's wires to remove the old ignitor. The new ignitor wires should come with it.
  2. Plug the new ignitor wires into the back of the controller.
  3. Zip tie the wires back together to prevent them of getting in the way of the fan blades.
  4. Insert the new ignitor into the firepot, line up the mounting bracket, and replace the set screw.
  5. Place the firepot back in place and secure it using the x4 screws.
    • If replacing the firepot as well, use the new firepot.
  6. Replace the heat baffle, drip tray, and grill grates.
