Understand why your Woodridge Series Traeger grill controller shows an exclamation mark (!) next to the temperature reading during startup.
What does an ! after the temperature during startup mean?
If an exclamation mark (!) is displayed on the controller, it indicates that there was a non-critical error.
- IMPORTANT! You can still use a grill that has a non-critical error.
When the ! appears after three dashes (---), the grill is currently in standby mode (ready to ignite).
When the "!" appears after the grill's temperature, the grill is currently running.
How to See which Non-Critical Error Occurred
To view the error causing the "!", press the controller dial. The controller screen will switch to display the associated error code, reverting back to the grill's temperature after 5 seconds. If the grill is paired with your Traeger app, this error will also appear in the app.
What do I need to do?
To resolve the error triggering the "!", you'll need to follow diagnostic steps for the associated error.
- Press the dial and see which non-critical error is displayed on the controller screen.
- Click on the error code below to diagnose Troubleshoot according to the error code.
