Woodridge Series Grill Displays an Exclamation Point (!) Upon Startup

What is Displayed on the Controller?

There will be an exclamation mark (!) following the grill temperature reading upon startup

There will be 3 dashes followed by an exclamation mark if the grill is idle or igniting

What Does this Mean?

If an exclamation mark (!) is displayed on the controller, it indicates that there was a non-critical error, and the grill is still able to perform a cook.

To view the error, press the dial and the error will show on the controller screen for 5 seconds.

*If the grill is connected, the error will display in the Traeger app.

What to Do?

Press the dial and see which error is displayed on the controller screen.

Troubleshoot according to the error code.

*The grill will still be able to perform a cook, so the error troubleshooting can be done once the cook is complete if desired.

What is a Non-Critical Error?

A non-critical error means that there is an issue, but the grill is still able to perform a cook.

Below are examples of non-critical errors:

  • ER04- Probe Fell Out
  • ER05- Bad Probe
  • ER29- Pellet Level Low
  • ER30- Pellet Level Critical
  • ER03- Low Ambient Temp
  • ER40- No Bluetooth Probes Found in the Scan
  • ER41- Multiple Bluetooth Probes Were Found
  • ER42- Failed to Connect to WiFi
  • ER43- Authorization Failed/Incorrect WiFi Password 
  • ER44- Could not Find Provided Network
  • ER45- Access Point Disconnected
  • ER46- Took Too Long to get IP Address
  • ER47- Took Too Long to get IP Address
  • ER48- Took Too Long to Get Time from Timeserver
  • ER49- Failed to Get Certificates from Server
