Replacement instructions for our WiFIRE enabled AC Timberline grills. While the controller on our AC Timberlines is visually similar to our WiFIRE controller on the outside, the wiring aspect is very much like our AC grills. WiFIRE enabled AC controllers use Molex connectors to attach the grill components to the controller that powers it.

Replacing an AC WiFIRE Controllers
Tools Needed
- Phillips Screwdriver
- Replacement Zip Ties (Optional)
Replacement Steps
- Power off and unplug your grill.
- Remove the 4 screws holding the access panel to the hopper.
- Once removed, unclip the zip ties holding the wire harness together.
- Unscrew the 4 screws holding the controller to the hopper.
- Once unscrewed, unplug the thermocouple from controller (yellow connection), then go through each Molex (plastic) connector disconnecting it from its component.
- Each wire is color coordinated to assist in reconnection once new controller is installed.
- Each wire is color coordinated to assist in reconnection once new controller is installed.
- Carefully pull out the old controller
- Replace the controller and go through and plug each wire back into its color-coded wiring including thermocouple (- & +)
- Screw controller back into front of hopper.
- Make sure free hanging wires are nicely bunched back up keeping them away from the moving parts in the grill.
- Screw hopper panel back to the hopper.
- Plug in and turn on.
