Do I have a non-WiFi pellet grill?
You can identify a non-WiFi grill by the controller and the side of the grill the hopper is on. If your controller looks similar to one of the ones below and your hopper is on the left-hand side of the grill (when facing the grill), you have a non-WiFi AC grill.

In addition, our AC models include a WiFi enabled AC Timberline 850 & 1300. Unlike our other WiFIRE grills (D2 models listed below), this model uses the same power cord as those reflected above. Check model number (TFB85WLB; TFB01WLB; TFB01WCD) to confirm AC or D2 Timberline 850 and 1300's.
Power Cords for WiFIRE-Enabled Pellet Grills
Traeger pellet grills with WiFIRE technology use one of two power cords, depending on the line of grill you have: One for grills with a touchscreen controller display and another for D2 grills without touchscreen displays. Both lines of grills have detachable power cords that connect to the grill either underneath or on the back of the hopper.
Grill Power Cords vs Laptop Power Cords
While there may be similarities between D2 grill and laptop power bricks/cords, we cannot endorse any parts not manufactured by Traeger, nor can we guarantee that these products will not cause damage to a Traeger grill.
Which type of WiFIRE-enabled pellet grill do I have?
You can identify a WiFi grill by the controller and the side of the grill the hopper is on. AC and D2 WiFIRE grills will have a controller that looks similar to the one pictured below, and the hopper will be on the right-hand side of the grill (when facing the grill).
D2 WiFIRE-enabled grills include the following models: |
WiFi models include both Timberline 850 & 1300 (AC) and all of our other D2 WiFIRE enabled grills (listed above). However, while the AC Timberline 850 & 1300's are WiFi models, the power cord used is for them is KIT0089. Check model number (TFB85WLB; TFB01WLB; TFB01WCD) to confirm AC or D2 Timberline 850 and 1300's.
You can identify a WiFi Touchscreen grill by the controller. Touchscreen WiFIRE grills will have a controller that looks similar to the one pictured below.
