Demo Mode

What's in This Article?

Demo Mode lets retailers showcase grills without igniting pellets in the firepot and is available on D2 and Touchscreen Traeger Grills. On D2 grills, activate it via Menu>Settings>Sales Demo; the grill will reboot. Touchscreen grills offer a Retail Demo Mode with a slideshow and a Sales Rep Demo Mode with limited functions and a DEMO watermark.

What is Demo Mode?

Demo mode shows how the grill works without actually igniting pellets in the firepot; it disables the hot rod while allowing all other parts to function as intended.

It is typically used only by retailers during in-store displays and demonstrations.

Demo Mode is only available in D2 and Touchscreen Traeger Grills.

Sales Rep vs Retail Demo Mode

Touchscreen Grills offer two demo modes retailers may choose from: Retail Demo Mode and Sales Rep Demo Mode.

  • Retail Demo Mode: When a sales associate isn't nearby, the grill enters a locked mode and displays a looping slideshow showcasing its key features and benefits.
  • Sales Rep Demo Mode: During a sales demonstration, the grill operates in demo mode with cooking functions disabled, displays a DEMO watermark, and features shortened ignition (3s), preheating (10s), and shutdown (5s) for quick demonstration.
