How to replace a WiFi antenna on a Touchscreen Timberline or Ironwood grill.
Replacement Steps
Before removing the hopper service panel: check your grill’s manufacturer date.
- June 2023 (2306) or after: Proceed to remove service panel.
- Before June 2023 (2305): Remove the access panel using an impact driver to prevent the possibility of stripped screws. If you don't have one on-hand, contact Traeger Support.
- Remove the hopper service access panel.
- Remove the smart combustion cover.
- Remove the nut from the bottom of the antenna, and slide it over the cable.
- Locate the antenna cable on the motherboard and disconnect it.
- Remove the antenna, pulling the wires through the access hole on the top of the hopper.
- Replace with new antenna in reverse order, threading cable through the nut before attaching the cable.
