How to replace a WiFi antenna on a Touchscreen Timberline or Ironwood grill. 

Replacement Steps

Before removing the hopper service panel: check your grill’s manufacturer date

  • June 2023 (2306) or after: Proceed to remove service panel.
  • Before June 2023 (2305): Remove the access panel using an impact driver to prevent the possibility of stripped screws. If you don't have one on-hand, contact Traeger Support.
  1. Remove the hopper service access panel.
  2. Remove the smart combustion cover.
  3. Remove the nut from the bottom of the antenna, and slide it over the cable.
  4. Locate the antenna cable on the motherboard and disconnect it.
  5. Remove the antenna, pulling the wires through the access hole on the top of the hopper.
  6. Replace with new antenna in reverse order, threading cable through the nut before attaching the cable.
