How to Replace Side Shelf Brackets on a Flatrock Griddle

Flatrock 2-Zone

  • Phillips Screwdriver

  • 10 minutes

Before Performing Any Replacement Steps:

  • Move all control knobs to the OFF position
  • Unplug the grill from power, close the propane tank and disconnect the regulator hose
  1. Remove the P.A.L. rails from the grill.
    1. Remove Side P.A.L. rails before the front P.A.L. rails.
    2. Loosen all the bolts holding the P.A.L. rail in place. Once loosened, the P.A.L. rail should be able to be lifted off the bolts and away from the shelf.
  2. Fold down the shelf.
  3. Remove the 2 screws attaching the shelf to the bracket, 1 on front and 1 on back.
    1. Repeat on both sides.
  4. With those 2 screws removed the shelf should be able to be separated from the grill, leaving the bracket attached.
  5. Replace the brackets
    1. Remove the 2 screws from the front bracket, and the 2 from the back bracket.
    2. Install the new bracket.

  6. Reinstall the shelf by attaching to the new brackets with the 4 screws previously removed. 
  7. Reinstall the P.A.L rails on reinstalled shelf. 
  8. Repeat on the other side if replacing all brackets.
Flatrock 3-Zone

Tools Needed

  • Phillips Screwdriver

Estimated Time to Complete

  • 10 Minutes

Before Performing Any Replacement Steps:

  • Move all control knobs to the OFF position
  • Unplug the grill from power, close the propane tank and disconnect the regulator hose
  1. Fold down the shelf.
  2. Remove the 4 screws attaching the shelf to the bracket, 2 on front and 2 on back.
  3. With those 4 screws removed the shelf should be able to be separated from the grill, leaving the bracket attached.
  4. Replace the brackets: 
    1. Remove the 2 screws from the front bracket, and the 2 from the back bracket.
    2. Install the new brackets.

  5. With the new brackets installed, install the shelf following the steps outlined in the assembly guide. 
  6. Partially screw in 8 screws (G) into each of the two side shelves. Do not tighten all the way.

  7. Insert the two side shelves into the new brackets, adding an additional screw once in place.

  8. Reinstall the four P.A.L Rails in the following order: Front-left > Side-left > Side-right > Front-right.
