Replacement Steps
Before Performing Any Replacement Steps:
- Turn burner knobs to OFF position, close the propane tank, and disconnect the regulator
- Open the lid and remove the cooktop
- Disconnect the burner that is being replaced by removing the 2 screws.
- Lift up the burner enough to access the ignitor wire connection.
- Remove the wire by sliding it off the back of the ignitor.
Pro Tip: Use pliers to grip the connector, so you don't have to pull on the wire and risk damaging it.
- After the wire is disconnected, remove the burner from the grill.
- Unscrew the screw holding the ignitor to the burner and pull the ignitor away from the burner.
- Screw the ignitor to the new U-Burner using x1 screw.
- Place U-Burner back in grill cavity and attach the ignitor wire to the ignitor.
- Attach burner by replacing x2 screws.
- Replace cooktop and close the lid.
