Auger Replacement Steps on a Non-Connected Grill

Tools Needed
- Phillips Screwdriver
- 7/64 Allen Wrench or 5-16" Socket Wrench
- Pliers

Replacement Steps
- On the access panel under the hopper, locate the 4 screws that hold it in place and remove them.
- Remove the 2 screws holding in the controller.
- Once removed, rotate the controller to push it through where it was housed.
- Unless already removed, clip the zip ties holding all the wires together.
- Locate the 4 screws holding the hopper assembly on the grill and remove them (2 on either side).
- Carefully remove the hopper shroud.
- Using a 7/64 Allen wrench & pliers, or a 5-16" socket wrench, remove the shear pin, freeing the auger from the Auger motor, and remove the motor.
- Remove the 1/4" bushing screw (the screw holding the auger to the grill frame), and remove the auger.
- Insert the new auger into the auger tube and screw the bushing screw back into place.
- Connect the auger motor and align the holes for the shear pin. Insert the shear pin back into place and attach screws securely.
- Put the hopper shroud back in place.
Auger Replacement Steps on a Portable Grill

Tools Needed
- Phillips Screwdriver
- 7/64 Allen Wrench or 5-16" Socket Wrench
- Pliers

- Open the grill and remove the 5 screws (1 inside grill, 2 on opposite sides of the hopper, 2 on the controller).
- Once removed, rotate the controller to push it through the hopper.
- Grab the handle inside the barrel and lift up.
- Locate the 4 screws holding the hopper assembly on the grill and remove them (2 on either side).
- Carefully remove the hopper shroud.
- Cut the zip ties
- Undo the Molex connector for the red wires.
- Remove the screw holding the 2 grounding wires (1 green, 1 green and yellow) in place and unhook grounding wires .
- Remove the 4 screws holding the auger motor in place.
- Pull out the motor and auger, and locate the auger pin.
- Using small pliers, remove the auger pin and slide the auger out.
- Put the new auger in place and replace the auger pin.
- Follow the steps in reverse to put grill back together.
