Replacement Steps
Before Performing Any Replacement Steps:
- Turn burner knobs to OFF position, close the propane tank valve, and disconnect the regulator hose.
- Use a 3/4" wrench to remove the regulator and hose assembly from underneath the grill.
- Once the old regulator is off, screw the new one on. Use the 3/4" wrench to tighten.
- Thread the female fitting of the regulator hose assembly onto the male fitting of the manifold, by hand.
- The female fitting on the regulator hose should rotate at least two full turns before resistance. If resistance occurs earlier, the threads may be misaligned, damaged, or dirty. Remove the regulator, inspect the threads, and reinstall. Hand-tighten the female fitting as much as possible.
- Use the 5/8” wrench on the manifold fitting and the 3/4” wrench on the hose fitting and tighten the connection.
- Be careful not to over-tighten.
- Do not use thread sealant tape.
- Attach the regulator hose to the propane tank
Important: After replacing the regulator hose, check for gas leaks before next use.
- Open propane tank valve but leave burner knobs in the OFF position.
- Spray the connection with soapy water and check for bubbles.
- If bubbles are present, tighten connection.
