Learn more about the different tools & screw types used with our Traeger Grills. 

 

Allen Keys/Wrench

Allen keys fit hexagonal shaped screws and bolts and are made to tighten or loosen.

Hardware Kit

This pre-packaged kit contains all the hardware needed to assemble the grill. Most kits will come with the tools needed to build the grill with the one exception being the Texas Elite.​

Impact Driver (Manual)

An impact driver is a screwdriver that is designed to use impact force to rotate the screwdriver head. This rotation can be used to tighten or loosen a stuck screw. ​

Pliers

These tools are designed to grip and or cut items for several tasks. Such as gripping and twisting wire or even cutting wires.

Screwdrivers

A tool with a flattened, cross-shaped, or star-shaped tip that fits into the head of a screw to turn it.

Screws, Nuts and Bolts

Screws, nuts and bolts are used to hold parts or components together.

 

Screws

Used to join things together by being rotated so that it pierces wood or other material and is held tightly in place. Screws come in different sizes.

Nuts and Bolts

Fundamental components used to join pieces of wood, metal, plastic, and other materials together. 
Bolts are threaded fasteners with external male threads. Nuts have female (internal) threads and mate with bolts. Together, they form a strong connection that can withstand significant forces.

Wrenches

There are many kinds of wrenches. Traeger uses several kinds, all of which are included in the hardware kit that comes with a grill.​
