Important: Before You Start

  • Make sure the grill is powered off and unplugged. 
  • Allow the grill to fully cool before disassembly.
  • Clear a stable workspace with enough room to lay the grill on its side.
  • You will transfer all major components from the original grill to the new barrel.
  • The grill is heavy. Always use two people when lifting or repositioning.
  • Work on a flat, stable surface to prevent damage or injury.

Grill Frame Replacement Steps

Remove Components from Original Grill

  1. Remove all internal parts from the barrel:
    • Cooking grates
    • Drip tray
    • Heat baffle
  2. Remove the lid from the barrel - Lid Replacement for removal.
  3. Remove Hopper Assembly (HBA) - Follow How to Replace the Hopper-Burner Assembly for removal.
  4. Remove chimney - Follow Chimney Replacements for removal.
  5. With the help of another person, carefully lay the grill on its back.
  6. Remove legs and frame hardware from the existing barrel - Follow Leg Replacement Non-WiFIRE Grill for removal.

Install New Frame / Barrel

  1. Install new Frame/Barrel:
    1. Install legs and secure all hardware.
    2. Turn the grill right side up.
    3. Ensure the unit is level and stable.
  2. Reinstall HBA:
    1. Mount existing HBA onto new barrel.
    2. Confirm no wires are pinched.
  3. Reinstall chimney.
  4. Reinstall lid.
  5. Reinstall Internal Components.
