How to Replace the Motherboard on a Flatrock 3-Zone Griddle

Where is the Motherboard Located?The motherboard is located behind a black metal plate underneath the Flatrock.

  • Phillips Screwdriver

  • 15 minutes

Replacement Steps

Before Performing Any Replacement Steps:

  • Unplug the grill from power, close the propane tank and disconnect the regulator hose
  • Remove the grease keg
  1. Remove the 2 screws holding the panel shut. 

    Pro Tip: These screws can be removed by hand - no screwdriver needed.

  2. Unscrew and remove the green ground wire.

  3. Unplug all the Molex connectors.

  4. Remove the 2 screws from the 9V Spark Ignitor Module.

  5. Remove the 3 screws from the corners of the motherboard and take motherboard out of plastic plate.
  6. Place new motherboard in plastic plate and screw in the 3 corner screws.

  7. Reattach 9V Spark Ignitor Module.
  8. Reconnect all Molex connections.

  9. Reattach green grounding wire.
  10. Close panel and hand screw the 2 screws in to hold in place.
  11. Replace grease keg.
  12. Reconnect the regulator hose, turn propane on, plug flat top grill back in.
