Lid Replacement Steps

Tools Needed

  • 1/2" Wrench

Estimated Time to Complete

  • 10 minutes

Before Performing Any Replacement Steps:

  • Turn burner knobs to OFF position, close the propane tank, and disconnect the regulator
  • Unplug the grill from power
  • Open the lid and remove the cooktop
  1. While a second person holds the lid, use a 1/2" sized wrench to remove the 4 nuts holding the lid to the grill's body.
  2. There are 2 nuts on either side of each hinge. With the 4 nuts removed, push the lid to one side to free the linkages, and then to the other side to fully remove the lid.
  3. With the lid fully removed, remove the other 4 bolts holding the linkages to the grill cavity.
  4. Install the new set. Start by installing the 4 linkages, 2 on each side by screwing them on with a nut.
  5.  When attaching the linkages, it's important that the angled side of the linkage is on top.
  6. With all 4 linkages attached to the grill body, you can align the other end of the linkages with the grill lid.
  7. Align all 4 linkages with the screws on the lid (you will probably need a second person for this) once aligned, you can reattach the nuts and screw the lid into place.
