Install/Replace a Propane Tank Brace & BracketsImage of propane tank brace and hardware

Before Performing Any Replacement Steps:

  • Unplug the grill from power, close the propane tank, and disconnect the regulator
  • Open the lid and remove the cooktop and grease keg
  1. With the help of a second person, flip the griddle upside-down.

    Pro Tip: To prevent scratches on the lid paint, lay down cardboard or a blanket before flipping over the griddle.
  2. Remove old tank brace by squeezing the 2 bars together and sliding it out of the tank brace hardware. 
  3. Remove the 2 Phillip's-head screws holding the back and front bracket to the legs.
  4. Install new front and back bracket to caster legs using 2 Phillips-head screws each.

  5. With the help of a second person, return the griddle to its upright position.

  6. With both new brackets installed, install the tank brace by clicking the front bracket into the brace bracket, and then pushing in the back bracket.

Replace Propane Tank Hook

Before Performing Any Replacement Steps:

  • Turn burner knobs to OFF position, close the propane tank, and disconnect the regulator
  • Remove the propane tank and set it aside
  • Remove grease keg
  • Open the lid and remove the cooktop
  1. Push in the spring pin, and remove the old tank hook
  2. Slide the new tank hook into place until the spring pin clicks into place.
