Why am I getting this error?

  • Wi-Fi network password or grill's information was entered incorrectly.

How can I resolve this error to complete the pairing process?

Please review possible typing errors with the Wi-Fi password.

  • Similar-looking Characters can cause mistakes:
  • I (uppercase i) vs l (lowercase L) vs 1 (one) vs | (vertical bar) 
  • 0 (zero) vs O (uppercase o) 
  • S (uppercase s) vs 5 (five) 
  • Z (uppercase z) vs 2 (two)
  • B (uppercase b) vs 8 (eight) 
  • G (uppercase g) vs 6 (six) 
  • q (lowercase Q) vs g (lowercase G)
  • U (uppercase u) vs V (uppercase v)
  • Extra Spaces: If the password was copied and pasted, make sure there are no hidden spaces at the beginning or end.

  2. Open the app and tap Begin.
  3. Enter the code, TRGR.
  4. Stand next to your grill and tap, Network Scan. Keep the app open during the 2-minute scan.
  5. Tap Improve Traeger Performance and follow the instructions in the app.
