On the rare occasion that your Traeger grill is damaged, we're here to help.
Types of Grill Damage
Cosmetic damage is superficial or immaterial damage that does not impede the grill's performance. This type of damage is categorized under normal wear and tear or customer misuse.
Below are some examples of grill cosmetic damage:
- Dents or dings in the lid/barrel
- Chips or scratches in the paint
- Rust from use at high-heat temperatures
Damage Covered under Warranty
Our warranty covers defects in material and workmanship under normal use and maintenance for the time outlined by the grill's warranty.
Damage not Covered under Warranty
Our warranty does not cover damage resulting from customer misuse or grease fires due to lack of maintenance.
Please refer to our Warranty Policy for more information about our warranty coverage.
Paint Damage
Paint damage (e.g., scratches and chips) does not typically affect how the grill functions and thus is not usually covered under warranty.
NOTE: Please do not repaint your grill, as this will void our warranty.
If you have further questions, please contact our Customer Support.
Shipping Damage
If, upon unboxing your grill, you notice damage that appears to have occurred during shipping, please contact Customer Support.
Rust
You'll find rust on either your grill's drip tray or heat baffle; this is normal. Also, many of your grill's metal components are heating upwards of 800 degrees when you cook at high temperatures, so discoloration and rust over time are normal.
If one of your grill parts has developed a hole through the metal, please contact Customer Support.
