Step-by-step instructions for how to replace both the folding side shelf and the stationary side shelf on your Traeger IronTop 2-Burner and IronTop 4-Burner flat top grill.

Folding Side Shelf Replacement Steps

Remove Old Side Shelf

  1. Turn burner knobs to OFF position and close the propane tank.
  2. Remove the x4 screws from the shelf brackets that hold the shelf to the grill (x2 screws on each bracket).

  3. Remove folding shelf from the grill.
  4. Remove the P.A.L. Rail from the shelf by removing the x4 screws from inside the shelf. 

Install New Folding Side Shelf

  1. Attach the new brackets to the grill using the x4 screws provided (x2 screws per side).

  2. Attach the P.A.L. Rail to the new shelf using the x4 screws.
  3. Install screw onto the shelf in the hole closest to the shelf. Repeat on the other side.

  4. Place the shelf on the grill in the folded down position, lining up the screw hole with the notch in the bracket.

  5. Install x1 screw on each side to hold the shelf in place.
  6. Fold the shelf up and press down to secure it onto the screw.
  7. Insert shelf bumpers (1 on each side of the shelf).
Stationary Side Shelf Replacement Steps

Remove Old Side Shelf

  1. Turn burner knobs to OFF position and close the propane tank.
  2. Remove the x4 screws (x2 on each side of the shelf) from the shelf bracket that attach the bracket to the grill.

  3. Remove the old shelf.
  4. Remove the P.A.L. Rail from the shelf by removing the x4 screws from inside the shelf. 

Install New Side Shelf

  1. Attach the new brackets to the new shelf using the x4 screws provided (x2 screws per bracket).
  2. Install the P.A.L. rail to the new shelf using the x4 screws.
  3. Place the new shelf on the grill, lining up the screw holes.
  4. Replace the x4 screws to hold the shelf bracket to the grill (x2 screws each bracket).
