The tank prevention rod is in place to prevent an additional propane tank from being stored underneath the IronTop. This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to replace the tank prevention rods on your Traeger IronTop grill. Includes part numbers, required tools, and estimated completion time.

- Phillips Screwdriver

Replacement Steps
Before Performing Any Replacement Steps:
- Turn the burner knobs to OFF position
- Close the propane tank
Remove Old Tank Prevention Rod
- Remove the x2 screws from the tank prevention rod (there is 1 screw on each side).
- Remove old tank prevention rod.
Install New Tank Prevention Rod
- Place the new tank prevention rod on the grill, lining up the loop on the rod with the hole in the grill leg.
- Replace the screw on each side of the rod.
- Replacement complete.
