How to Replace the Bottom Shelf on an IronTop Griddle

Tools Needed

  • Phillips Screwdriver
  • Blanket or Cardboard
Pro Tip: This is better completed with 2 people.

Replacement Steps

Before Performing Any Replacement Steps:

  • Turn burner knobs to OFF position, close the propane tank, and disconnect the regulator
  • Remove the grease bucket
  • Open the lid and remove the cooktop

Remove Old Bottom Shelf

  1. Remove the x2 screws on each lid bracket.

  2. Lift the lid off.
  3. With the help of another person, gently set the grill on its back.

    Pro Tip: Place a blanket or piece of cardboard on the ground to prevent the grill from getting scratched.
  4. Remove the x2 screws hooking the shelf to the legs from each corner of the bottom shelf.

  5. Remove the bottom shelf.

Install New Bottom Shelf

  1. Place the new shelf on the grill, lining up the screw holes on each leg.

  2. Replace the x2 screws on each leg.
  3. With the help of another person, stand the grill up.
  4. Place the lid onto the grill body in the open position.
  5. Replace the x2 lid bracket screws on each side of the lid.

  6. Replace the cooktop and close the lid, reinstall the grease bucket.
  7. Reattach the regulator hose (do not over-tighten).
