How to Replace a Burner on an IronTop Griddle

IronTop 2-Burner Replacement Steps

Remove Old Burner

Before Performing Any Replacement Steps:

  • Turn burner knobs to OFF position, close the propane tank
  • Ensure the grill is completely cooled
  • Open the lid and remove the cooktop
  1. Unscrew the x2 screws holding the burner in place (screws located at the top of the burner, one on each side).

  2. Lift the burner up and pull it out of the burner hole.

  3. Unhook the ignitor wire from the ignitor by pulling it away from the ignitor.

  4. Pull burner out of the grill.

Replace New Burner

  1. Reattach the ignitor wire to the ignitor on the new burner.
  2. Slide burner into the burner slot.

  3. Replace x2 screws to secure the new burner.

  4. Replace the cooktop and close the lid.

 

IronTop 4-Burner Replacement Steps 

Remove Old Burner

Before Performing Any Replacement Steps:

  • Turn burner knobs to OFF position, close the propane tank
  • Ensure the grill is completely cooled
  • Open the lid and remove the cooktop
  1. Remove the hairpin from the burner.

  2. Lift the burner off of the notch.

  3. Disconnect the ignitor wire from the ignitor by pulling it off.

  4. Pull old burner out of the burner slot.

Replace New Burner

  1. Slide the ignitor wire onto the new ignitor.
  2. Slide the burner into the burner slot.
  3. Place the new burner on the burner notch and replace x1 hairpin.

  4. Replace the cooktop and close the lid.
