Replacing the Auger Motor

Tools needed

  • Phillips screwdriver

Replacement Steps

  1. Open the grill and remove the following 5 screws using a Phillips screwdriver:
    • 1 inside grill barrel
    • 2 on opposite sides of the hopper
    • 2 on the controller

  2. Push the controller through the opening to inside of the hopper

  3. Grab the handle inside the barrel and lift up. Lean the contents on the inside of the lid

  4. Cut the zip ties
  5. Undo the Molex connector for the red wires

  6. Remove the screw holding the 2 grounding wires (1 green, 1 green and yellow) in place and unhook grounding wires

  7. Remove the 4 screws holding the auger motor in place.

  8. Pull out the auger motor and replace with the new motor.
  9. Follow the steps in reverse to put grill back together.

Replacing the Auger 

Tools needed

  • Small pliers

    • 2 on opposite sides of the hopper
    • 2 on the controller

  2. Push the controller through the opening to inside of the hopper

  8. Pull out the auger motor and locate the auger pin

  9. Using small pliers, remove the auger pin and slide the auger out.
  10. Put the new auger in place and replace the auger pin
  11. Follow the steps in reverse to put grill back together
