TOOLS NEEDED:

Phillips Screwdriver

REMOVE THE OLD POWER PANEL

  1. Unplug the grill from power, close the propane tank and disconnect the regulator.
  2. Find the power panel on the back of the grill, unplug the power cord, and remove the 9V battery, if one is installed.
  3. Remove the 4 screws (2 on the left and 2 on the on right) securing the power panel to the grill.
  4. Pull Panel away from the grill and make note of the placement of the electrical wires. 
    • 6 Wires: 2 connected to the power switch, 2 connected to the battery compartment and 2 connected to the power outlet
  5. Disconnect all wires.

INSTALL THE NEW POWER PANEL

  1. Attach the 6 wires to the new power panel.
  2. Secure the power panel back to the grill using the 4 provided screws or using the screws you removed in step 3.

Replacing a Flat Top Grill Power Cord

Applicable SKUs

  1. Locate the Power cord on the back side of the grill.
    • The power cord plugs into the power panel
  2. Remove the power cord.
  3. Replace and attach the new power cord.

Using an Extension Cord

If you need to use an extension cord with your Flatrock, we recommend the following:

  • Confirm a GFCI outlet is used
  • Use an outdoor rated extension cord
  • Minimum wire gauge of 14 AWG
