REMOVE/REPLACE THE TIMBERLINE HOPPER SIDE ACCESS PANEL

What's in This Article?

Are you having trouble accessing your hopper side panel? Here you will find instructions on removing the hopper side panel on your Timberline or Timberline XL grill.

HOPPER SIDE ACCESS PANEL

The access panel is now on the side of the hopper rather than underneath. It can be removed to access the internal components of the motherboard. You can also access the auger motor assembly, the display/controller, and the internal cooling fan.

  • NOTE: Never remove the controller display from the hopper. This is siliconed to the grill to prevent moisture from entering the display. If you have an issue with the controller display, contact Customer Support for further assistance.

HOW TO REMOVE/REPLACE THE ACCESS PANEL

  1. Power off the grill and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Remove the hopper side P.A.L rail.

  3. Confirm you have a good fit between the 2" screwdriver bit and the screw.

  4. Have someone hold/secure the grill in place.

  5. Ideally, use an impact driver or drill with a good #2 Phillips bit or a good #2 Phillips screwdriver.

    • Do NOT use a hand screwdriver. This will strip the screws.

  6. Remove the two screws below the P.A.L rail first, apply moderate pressure to the screws with the driver and remove.
