What to do when you get the "connect or plug in probe" message on your new Timberline grill.

CAUSE

A cook cycle has been selected that requires using a probe, but no probe is plugged in or connected.

WHAT DOES THE GRILL DO WHEN THIS MESSAGE OCCURS

The grill waits for a probe to be plugged in or connected before allowing the cook cycle to start.

WHAT TO DO

  1. Confirm that either a wired probe is plugged in.
    OR
  2. Confirm that a Traeger MEATER probe has a fully charged battery, is paired to the grill, and is out of its dock.
