What to do when you get the "Auger Jam Detected" error on your new Timberline grill.
- This error number used to display as “0013” in firmware version 01.00.05. The error number changed to “0014” in firmware version 01.00.06.
CAUSE
The grill detects a large current draw on the auger motor, indicating the auger is jammed.

The grill starts a shutdown cycle.

Safety Considerations: The auger is very capable of causing injury. It can easily cut through a human finger. Proceed with caution.
- Make sure FIRMWARE is up to date.

If the error number displayed is the old number, update the firmware.

- Ensure the grill is cool and finished with its shutdown cycle.
- Run a SELF-TEST to ensure there are no disconnects. Follow the steps below:
- On the controller display, go to MENU>MAINTENANCE & CARE>SELF-TEST. The test should take about 10 seconds to complete.
- If the auger test does not fail, you're good to go!
- If the auger test fails, proceed to the next step.
- On the controller display, go to MENU>MAINTENANCE & CARE>SELF-TEST. The test should take about 10 seconds to complete.
- Empty the hopper to inspect the auger visually.
- If the auger appears to be jammed by pellets or foreign objects, unplug the grill and safely clear the auger. Follow the steps below to do this:
- Ensure the grill is unplugged
- Remove the hopper access panel
- Disconnect and remove the auger motor
- Remove the auger bracket
- Remove the auger
- Ensure the auger tube is clear
- Reassemble auger and motor components
- If the auger appears to be jammed by pellets or foreign objects, unplug the grill and safely clear the auger. Follow the steps below to do this:
- Re-run the SELF-TEST.
- If the auger test fails again, contact Customer Support.
