What to do when the error: 0007 "grill failed to ignite" message shows up on your new Timberline grill.
CAUSE
The grill did not ignite in a timely fashion. Possible causes include:
There are no pellets in the fire pot
There is an excess of pellets in the fire pot
There is a puck in the fire pot
Ignitor is not making contact with pellets
WHAT DOES THE GRILL DO WHEN THIS ERROR OCCURS?
The grill goes into shutdown.
WHAT TO DO
- Make sure firmware is up to date.
- Confirm that there are pellets in the hopper.
- If there are no pellets, refill the hopper and prime the auger.
- Run the grill again to see if the problem continues.
- If there are pellets, continue to the next step.
- If there are no pellets, refill the hopper and prime the auger.
- Open the grill and clean out the firepot.
- Run the grill again to see if the problem continues.
- Proceed to the next step if the error appears again.
- Run a Self Test and verify that there are no issues with the ignitor.
- If there are ignitor errors, open the hopper access panel and ensure that all cables are connected properly, then run the grill again.
- If there are no ignitor errors, continue to the next step.
- Open the grill and ensure that the ignitor makes contact with pellets in the fire pot. The ignitor should protrude approximately half an inch into the fire pot.
