This article will walk you through how to replace a thermocouple on your Silverton grill.
- Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the 4 screws securing the Thermocouple to your grill.
- Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the 4 screws securing the controller in place.
- Unplug the Thermocouple sensor from the controller.
- With a wrench, unscrew the screws holding the hopper to the grill.
- Carefully pull the hopper away from your grill.
- Snip the zip tie binding the Thermocouple wiring between the Hopper and the grill.
- Pull the Thermocouple all the way through the Hopper and the grill, and out of the grill.
- Feed through the new Thermocouple through the grill and through the Hopper.
- Plug the new Thermocouple into the controller.
- Using a Phillips screwdriver, rescrew the controller to the grill.
- If available, bind the excess Thermocouple wiring with a zip tie between the Hopper and the grill.
- Slide the Hopper back to your grill.
- Using a wrench, re-screw the grill to the Hopper.
- Using a Phillips screwdriver, install the new Thermocouple into your grill.
