What to do if the Woodridge series controller goes back to ---F when pressing the ignite button.
Symptoms
The Woodridge series controller won't ignite. Once the temperature is selected and the knob has been pressed, when the ignite button is pressed, the controller screen goes back to ---F.
- This is happening within the 5 second window of setting the grill temperature and pressing ignite.
Potential Causes
- Grill needs to be power cycled.
- Grill is not on the latest firmware.
- Faulty parts.
Resolution
- Restart the grill.
- Turn off the power switch
- Unplug the grill
- Wait 30 seconds
- Plug the grill back in
- Turn the power back on
- Attempt to ignite the grill.
- Tap the ignite button to wake the grill
- Rotate the selection dial to desired temperature
- Press selection dial in
- Within 5 seconds, tap the ignite button
- Tap the ignite button to wake the grill
- If ---F still appears, ensure the grill is on the latest firmware.
- If the grill has been power cycled, and it is on the latest firmware, and the ---F is still showing, contact customer service.
