Symptoms
Controller does not turn on when grill is powered on.
- The grill has power (power switch lights up), but the controller does not turn on
Causes
This most likely is a result of the controller wires not being securely connected.
Resolution
Follow the steps below to check and secure the controller wire connections:
- Turn off and unplug the grill from power.
- For the Woodridge Elite, remove the 4 screws from the filler panel below the controller, remove the panel and set aside.
- Open the hopper lid and remove the x2 screws from the controller trim.
- Remove the two screws from the lower portion of the controller at the front of the grill and carefully lift up the controller and trim belt.
- Disconnect and reconnect the wire harnesses ensuring a solid connection.
- Attach the controller trim to the grill using x2 screws inside the hopper and x2 screws on the outside below the controller (x4 total).
- Reattach the filler panel below the controller using x4 screws.
- Power on the grill.
- If the issue is not resolved, check the connections in the auger box:
- NOTE: You only need to remove the cover. The auger box can stay installed on the bottom of the grill.
- Unscrew the x10 screws from the auger box (x2 on each end, x3 along each side).
- Ensure that the cable from the drivetrain circuit board is connected to the main controller, by unplugging and plugging the cable back in.
- Confirm wiring is not pinched, cut, or damaged inside auger box.
- Confirm that there is no visible damage to the circuit board.
- Reassemble the auger box.
- Attempt to ignite the grill.
- If issue is not resolved, contact customer service.
