How to Pair Your Traeger Wireless Probes

  1. Make sure the battery in your charging dock is properly installed and full by pressing the button on the front of the unit. The green LED above the button will light up.

  2. Grill should be powered on and not in cook mode. Tap the menu button.

  3. While in the menu, turn the selection dial until the 'Add Bluetooth Accessory' icon lights up in the menu bar and the probe pairing animation below displays on the screen.

  4. Press the selection dial to select this option to begin the pairing process.

  5. The screen will display a pairing animation, indicating that the grill is currently searching for the Traeger Wireless Probe Bluetooth signal.

  6. Remove the wireless meat thermometer from the dock and hold it close (within 3 ft) to your grill controller.
    • Traeger Wireless Meat Thermometers must be paired one at a time to ensure the grill only picks up one Bluetooth signal at a time.

  7. When the grill successfully connects to your wireless probe, you will see a green check animation on the screen and a probe icon with a number 1 or 2.

  8. On the probe menu bar beneath the screen, you will now see the probe icon lit up indicating that the probe is connected. After 5 seconds, the probe icon will dim, indicating that it is no longer selected, and the grill will return to 'Add Bluetooth' setting. You can repeat the above process to pair a second probe.

How to Remove a Previously Paired Traeger Wireless Meat Thermometer

Follow the steps below to disconnect or unpair your Traeger Wireless Meat Thermometer.

  1. Tap the probe button on the grill's controller.

  2. Turn the selection dial to highlight the Traeger Wireless Prove that you would like to disconnect, either probe 1 or probe 2.
  3. With the desired probe highlighted in the probe menu bar and the current probe temperature displayed, press and hold the selection dial for 3 seconds.

  4. If your probe was successfully disconnected, you will hear an audible 'disconnected' tone and the display will show a red X.
    • The probe icon in the probe menu bar will flash and then turn off.
