What to do when your Woodridge Series grill displays, "ER 13," indicating an Auger Motor Disconnected error.
What causes an ER13 error?
The grill isn’t reading the auger motor.
What happens when my grill has an ER13 error?
If your Woodridge Series grill triggers an ER13 error, you'll notice the following behaviors:
- The grill controller will display, ER13
- The grill automatically initiates a shutdown cycle.
- If the grill is connected to the Traeger app, the app will display the following notifications:
How do I resolve an ER13 error?
- Once the grill has completed its shutdown cycle and has cooled off completely, power off the grill and unplug it from the outlet.
- Confirm that the auger is not jammed by looking into the auger from the hopper and from the auger tube opening in the firepot.
- Remove the auger box cover.
- NOTE: You only need to remove the cover. The auger box can stay installed on the bottom of the grill.
- Unscrew the x10 screws from the auger box (x2 on each end, x3 along each sides).
- Check the wiring and component connections to the drivetrain circuit board.

Find the connection on the circuit board labeled, AUGER, and confirm it's fully seated on the board.
- Ensure that the cable from the drivetrain circuit board is connected to the main controller.
- Confirm wiring is not pinched, cut, or damaged inside auger box.

- Determine if adjusting the connections cleared the error.
- Plug in, power on, and ignite the grill.
- Check if the grill shows an ER13 error during ignition as the auger starts turning.
- No error: Adjusting the connections resolved the error.
