What causes the error?

The grill is not measuring the expected rotation from the induction fan’s speed sensor.

Symptoms

The grill starts a shutdown cycle.

If the grill is connected to the Traeger app, you will see the following notification:

What to do

  1. Shut down the grill and ensure it is completely cooled.

  2. Turn grill OFF and UNPLUG grill from outlet.

  3. Remove the auger box cover.

    • Unscrew the 10 screws from the auger box (2 on each end, 3 along both sides).

  4. Confirm all connectors are fully connected from the fan to the drivetrain circuit board.

  5. Ensure that the cable from the drivetrain circuit board is connected to the main controller.

  6. Confirm wiring is not pinched, cut, or damaged inside auger box.

  7. Ensure there are no obstructions caught in fan blades.

  8. If the issue persists, replace the fan.

  9. If fan has been replaced and the issue persists, contact customer service.
