Motherboard Replacement Instructions - Flat Top Grill

Where is the Motherboard Located?

The motherboard is located behind a black metal plate underneath the Flatrock.

How to Replace the Motherboard on a Flat Top Grill

TOOLS NEEDED

Phillips Screwdriver

REPLACEMENT STEPS

1. Unplug the grill from power, close the propane tank, disconnect the regulator hose.
2. Remove the grease keg.
3. Remove the 2 screws holding the panel shut. 
   • These screws can be removed by hand- no screwdriver needed.
     
4. Unscrew and remove the green ground wire.
   
5. Unplug all the Molex connectors.
   
6. Remove the 2 screws from the 9V Spark Ignitor Module.
   
7. Remove the 3 screws from the corners of the motherboard and take motherboard out of plastic plate.
8. Place new motherboard in plastic plate and screw in the 3 corner screws.
   
9. Reattach 9V Spark Ignitor Module.
10. Reconnect all Molex connections.
    
11. Reattach green grounding wire.
12. Close panel and hand screw the 2 screws in to hold in place.
13. Replace grease keg.
14. Reconnect the regulator hose, turn propane on, plug flat top grill back in.
