Replacing a WiFIRE Grill Induction Fan

The steps outlined in the videos here will help walk you through replacing your Traeger WiFIRE grill's induction fan (KIT0481, KIT0411).

Replacing an Induction Fan on a Pro 575 & Pro 780

  1. Power off and unplug the grill.
  2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the access panel from the bottom of the hopper.
  3. Cut the zip ties holding the cables.
  4. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove 4 screws that hold the controller in place.
  5. Unplug fan from controller and remove fan with Phillips screwdriver.
  6. Install a new fan and plug it into the controller.
  7. Replace the controller.
  8. Add zip ties to keep wires organized and away from the fan.
  9. Reinstall the hopper access panel.
  10. Plug in the grill and start Traegering!

Replacing an Induction Fan on an Ironwood 650 & 885 & Timberline 850 & 1300

  1. Power off and unplug the grill.
  2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the access panel from the bottom of the hopper.
  3. Cut the zip ties holding the cables together.
  4. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the 4 screws that hold the controller in place.
  5. Unplug the fan from controller.
  6. Use the Phillips screwdriver to uninstall the old fan, and install the new fan.
  7. Plug the fan into the controller.
  8. Reinstall the controller.
  9. Add zip ties to keep wires organized and away from the fan.
  10. Reinstall the hopper access panel.
  11. Plug the grill back in and turn on.
